Ingredients
Each 0.67 ml pipette contains:
- Fipronil 67.00 mg
- (S)-methoprene 60.30 mg
Also contains: butylhydroxyanisole (E320), butylhydroxytoluene (E321), ethanol, polysorbate 80 (E433), povidone, diethylene glycol monoethyl ether.
(Equivalent labeling: fipronil 10% w/v / (S)-methoprene 9% w/v, or approx. 9.8% / 8.8% w/w depending on region.)
How it works
Fipronil acts on contact against adult fleas, ticks and biting lice. (S)-methoprene is an insect growth regulator that prevents flea eggs and larvae from developing, helping reduce re-infestation in the home.
Who it’s for
Dogs and puppies from 8 weeks of age, weighing 2–10 kg (US labels: about 5–22 lb). Choose the correct Frontline Plus size for your dog’s weight. Do not use on cats, rabbits or other non-target species.
How to apply
- Hold the pipette upright and snap open the tip away from your face.
- Part the fur at the base of the neck / between the shoulder blades until you see skin.
- Place the tip on the skin and empty the entire pipette in one spot (not on the hair). For longer coats, ensure the liquid reaches the skin.
- Keep the dog from licking the wet site, and keep other pets (especially cats) from licking each other until dry.
- Wash hands after use. Avoid letting children handle the pet until the application site is dry.
Important safety notes
- For dogs only. Do not use on cats or rabbits (can cause severe reactions or death in rabbits).
- Do not use on sick, convalescent, or hypersensitive animals without veterinary advice. Weigh your dog accurately and do not overdose.
- Temporary redness, itching, or hair changes at the application site can occur; rarely, salivation or other systemic signs are reported — contact a vet if concerned.
- Alcohol in the formula can damage painted or varnished surfaces; keep the wet site away from soft furnishings until dry.
- Bathing or swimming within 2 days of application may reduce efficacy; after that, water resistance improves — check your pack leaflet.
- Keep treated dogs out of watercourses for 2 days (aquatic toxicity). Store in the original packaging in a cool place out of reach of children. Do not use past the expiry date on the carton.
Always read the product leaflet before use. This is not a substitute for veterinary advice if your dog has an unusual infestation, is unwell, or needs a tailored parasite plan.
